The music video for "4x4" — a GGM Gang × Robin Karra × Jaikar release under 5 Seasons — is a testament to my ability to direct high-stakes, action-oriented content while maintaining rigorous technical and safety standards. Executed over one full day and a dedicated evening session, this project showcased my proficiency in location logistics, creative lighting, and on-the-spot problem-solving.
Dynamic Direction & Technical Lighting
The primary goal was to capture the raw energy of the track by immersing the viewer in a world of power and controlled chaos. I directed and shot a series of dynamic sequences involving multiple 4x4 SUVs and pickup trucks drifting and driving through heavy mud at an off-road vehicle park.
A significant technical challenge during the daytime shoot was balancing the harsh, high-contrast sunlight to ensure perfect exposure. I focused heavily on skin tone fidelity, actively managing light spill and shadow contrast. This required swift and precise use of lighting modifiers and reflectors to ensure that every shot maintained a polished appearance.
